Classes

Class Schedule

We have a wide variety of classes available. Many different dance styles that is available at different levels for all ages. We believe that it is important for a student to be placed appropriately so they may get the most out of a class. Placement is done by the teacher. New students should take a trial class so the teacher may evaluate them properly.

Class Placement

We strive to teach dance in a fun and positive atmosphere. Support and encouragement are given to every student whether their dreams are becoming a professional or just wanting to dance for health, self-confidence, and FUN! Every year students will learn new material. We set our classes on a syllabus to ensure all students are progressing. Each year the choreography is different and every class is a new adventure. Students are placed in classes by technical level and age to ensure they progress to the best of their ability. We believe that it is important for a student to be placed appropriately so that he/she can get the most out of the class. Our instructors take a personal interest in each student. Initial student evaluation involves determining a student’s present ability in light of previous dance experience, individual skill, and muscle development. All new students may take a free trial class. Our front desk associate can suggest a trial class, however, the final decision will come from the teacher. At the end of the year, the teachers report to the director, Miss Pamela, their recommended level for each student. That is the determination used for class recommendations for the following year. Our instructors closely monitor the progress of each student to maximize the benefits of their dance training while minimizing the risk of physical strain.

Class Attire

Correct attire is required for all classes; this is part of the respect of the art as well as respect for the studio, teachers, and other students. Students may be asked to leave if they do not have the proper attire. The proper attire is required to also help the student learn the art of dance properly so they can see what their bodies are doing and not have clothing interfering with the learning process.
